The zoom feature is also easy to use. I used to own a different model of Advantix camera and liked it, so I bought this one.It is easy to use, takes good pictures, and is convienient with the three sizes of pictures it can take. The 2.5x, 24-60 mm zoom is not the highest zoom in the world, but it is acceptable. When I went to develop my pictures, I was able to get the pictures on CD which was very convenient. I was looking for an inexpensive, point-and-shoot camera (digital would have been preferrable) that could do panorama photographs. I found that there is not that much in that category.
Will try another one. Kodak Advantix C750 APS Date CameraIt did not work. Sent it back.
They were very happy with it although we haven't developed any film yet. The Kodak Advantix camera was an anniversary gift for my mom and dad.
To make sure it does what I want it to do, I went to a touristy area like Old Town Sacramento which is very divers in lighting and opportunities. The panoramic feature works well but still grainy. When ever I buy a camera for something, I have a reason to buy it and I test it to make sure it will work for what I bought it for.
The sensor does not have the latitude for light and shadows, something that will always be a factor when taking pictures. I would not recommend this as an overall camera. My daylight shots came out washed out from being in competition from the shadows.
As a former professional photographer used to expensive and high tech cameras, I bought this for its panoramic feature. It's not very sharp and somewhat grainy. My pro SLR will still be my #1 choice and this will stay in my bag just for panoramic shots.
I bought this for my vacation so that I could have a reasonable camera for scenic opportunities. I used Fuji 200 for the film and what I found is that, it works great indoors but is very limited outside.
Even better than ever, thank you. When my old Kodak Advantix Panoramic camera finally broke I was devastated until I found Kodak still made them.
